I read about a scholarship in Maine for veterinarians who work with big animals, and it was impressive to me that in Heartland the guy actors eem really knowledgeable about the horses they ride and act as caretakers for. My birds which were mine to keep for a while were three cockatiels, (Cream) Puff and Screech (Owl) were a pair, the girl being a lutino yellow with red eyes and the guy being a gray with brown black eyes. I got to keep them for almost ten years, wherein they tried to hatch thirty eggs, but I didn't know about egg warmers (lay person term) or how to help them hatch them. Marble Apple Moses was younger by several years, looked almost entirely white dappled with some gray, and his eyes didn't look the same color as Screech, but I think his favorite was having philosophy read out loud to him. In junior high I kept a pair of goldfish, and as a wee person in the Philippines I got to take care of five litters of puppies not at the same time before they would be sold, but my neighbors if I was lucky would ask me to dogsit them. Horses are really wildly not possible in a city situation, but I guess it's because I grew up wanting ponies. But I grew up in a farm, so even though I didn't ride horses, there were always goats and pigs and hens and roosters, too.
