I'm at Healthy Eating class, but we are not cooking until next Wednesday. So this means free time where I'm just checking out the news and going on YouTube.

I wonder how Twitter and Facebook are going...I'm not very involved in Dreamwidth; I'm not a paid member and I've never done a code push.

But I know I help out by being a good citizen, and signing up for Transformative Works and OTW. I really love this place. Dreamwidth is so awesome. Although LiveJournal no longer has open source code, I still think they are pretty awesome, too!

Oh, sad. :) But pretty nifty, too.

I think http://diaryland.com just switched to Paid Accounts only. I would toootally recommend them, they are a pretty cool people.

That is, my first blog was from there, in the year 2000. Andrew who was the guy in charge of there is a pretty cool guy who always helped me out. If you want to do a blog, I would say get one from here on Dreamwidth or Diaryland or LiveJournal.

Yaay for the free parts of the internet that still exist. Kudos to these places, though.

from https://kabbalah.com/rh "Then each soul is written into one of three ledgers. One for the entirely wicked, one for the entirely righteous, and one for those in the middle. The wicked are immediately sealed in the book of death, those who are righteous immediately written into the book of life, and those in the middle are held in the balance — given the opportunity to transform and tilt their scales to merit on the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur." How interesting. I think every one who makes it to the Book of Life are the people who make it to heaven, the three glories of exaltation taught by Mormons, and I read Greg Laurie's notes on the New Living Translation where it says there are three servants who did or did not invest the talents; I think the notes ascribe or "jive" with what I believe about Mormon theology. (Which is to say, to me, it is truth.)

also, from here: http://www.kabbalah.com/what-we-teach

3. Existence of Spiritual Laws: There are spiritual laws in the universe that affect people’s lives. One of these is the Law of Cause and Effect: What one puts out is what one get back, or what we sow is what we reap.

I have been reading the Zohar since 2014. I was really handily prepared by being able to attend this beautiful place http://www.nertamid.com/ a couple of times by invitation of the previous rabbi.

I am glad my Christian walk is emboldened and lit up by knowing about Jewish culture and how that fits in. That first there were Jews, then Moslems, then Christians from the line of Abraham.

Shalom.
